Success vs. Value

Segalo MediaBlog, Children

We often mix up the difference between “Success” and “Value”.

Success is what we do and accomplish.

Success is scoring a touchdown, running a race, winning the spelling bee.

Value is who we are. It’s what’s on the inside. Value is how we treat others.

Value is being kind, respectful, honoring.

Although success is fun and creates great memories with our children, we want them to be people of value.

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.  Phil 4:8
