This winter was really long, and although we’ve seen spring for awhile now, we want to make sure that our winter season spiritually is over and that spring time has come. What happens in spring? The flowers begin new growth, the grass begins to come up, the trees bud, new life is born. So too, should this be a refreshing time of new life in our spirits. Get the kids outside, read a new book, start something new that would be refreshing to your soul. Let spring inside and prepare for the next step God has for you to take.

The Bible tells us to “run the race set before us’, but many times there are obstacles to that run. The enemy is out to get us and those on our team. It doesn’t matter if we are faster, we have to be smarter. Smarter than the enemy. Smarter than his tricks. Make sure this week, you have covered your ‘team’ in prayer, so that the enemy has less chance of breaking through the line.

What are your teens doing when they are online, whether it is on their computer, a tablet, or phone. Are they looking at things they shouldn’t be? Are they commenting on posts from others? Success vs. Value

We often mix up the difference between “Success” and “Value”. Success is what we do and accomplish. Success is scoring a touchdown, running a race, winning the spelling bee. Value is who we are. It’s what’s on the inside. Value is how we treat others. Value is being kind, respectful, honoring. Although success is fun and creates great memories with our children, we want them to be people of value. Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.  Phil 4:8
