Dawn Thompson is a writer, speaker, and ordained minister. She has a BA in Theology and has worked in the ministry for 30 years. She works at a child welfare agency, which assists children throughout the world find loving homes.
Her books published: Barnyard Bully (Aug. 2016, sales 920), Double Trouble (Nov. 2017, sales 680), and Sedwick the Seagull (Apr. 2018, sales 590). She has written articles for religious publications (local Right to Life, Pentecostal Church of God Messenger).
Dawn has given birth to three children and has been a mentor to many others. She enjoys teaching kids life skills necessary to live a full, abundant life. Dawn has been a foster parent to teens and served on several boards to better the communities in which she lived. She has piloted and launched teen centers and has developed mentor and volunteer training programs.
Dawn has written on the social issues of our time, including the six children’s books on bullying, family dynamics, self-esteem, fear, disabilities, and diversity. All have received favorable reviews. Her heart is to empower children and adults, and she is continuing to write for both these audiences. Dawn is a pastor and pastor’s wife, served in most positions in a church, and ministered in churches of all sizes.
She has worked in a public school, been a foster parent, a biological parent, and a step parent, all while growing a ministry and a career.
